Nunu and Lucy are wishlings who drifted down to Earth from the Wish Department, where they spent their days sleeping on clouds, playing, and filling up on wishling magic that help our wishes come true. Now that they’re here, they love earthly things and little adventures but have a hard time keeping up, often falling asleep in the middle of it all.

Because..... if they DON'T get enough sleep and they absorb too many heavy, negative wishes, they can accidentally transform into giant, city destroying monsters.

Which is why naps and "good" wishes are taken very, very seriously.
