A curated 20 frame contact sheet capturing a walk through Long Island City. Each photograph was taken with my everyday cellphone, then arranged in the classic style of a 35mm contact sheet, complete with frame numbers and archival markings of the camera I used.
This piece is part of The Observer | Contact Sheets, a series inspired by the way my father used to print his rolls in the darkroom. As a xennial artist, I bridge the analog world I grew up watching with the digital tools I create with now. LIC’s blend of old factories, new towers, and in-between moments feels like the perfect reflection of that duality.
